Hey thanx for the info, my pup is doing great he sits and does his downs great, he retreives his ball and bumber several times before he tires. I just cannot stop him from barking when I put him in his crate. Any help would be great. |

Hi,
I have crate trained three wirehairs to date. I have found that if you take a soda can - put pennies in it - tape the top with duct tape & throw it near the crate when they start to bark - it makes them stop. You then make a big deal out of it.
Dogs to do not get the whole "can flying through the air" thing - they just know that they barked - awful sound happened - alot of praise followed.

| Hey Joe -- you didn't by any chance pick your pup up in Idaho did you? Ours is the same age and as few litters as there are I was curious if they came from the same one. |

My dog came from Idaho. He's 8 mo. old. He's a black and white also.
it would be neat to find some one who has dogs from the same litter.
He was born July of 2007. pm me if you think they might be littermates. |
