Hey Ya'll. Just wanted Let ya'll know that I'll be lurking about and picking your brains for information.

My vet is trying to get me to switch from GSP's to GWP's.

I spend Half my time upland hunting and the other half waterfowl hunting. The GSP's don't handle the cold water well, so I was shopping for a chessie. My vet said if I went with a GWP. I'd be able to use the same dog for both. After watching his GWP in the field, I've decided he might be right and am doing some investigating on my own.

I'll try and keep my mouth shut and my ears open(usually tough for me).

I did the same thing 13 years ago when I changed from weimaraners to GWP's. You will love it when your dog breaks ice on frozen ponds all day to retrieve ducks or charges through snow covered fields for late season pheasants.
