Help,
Have a 4 month old pup that spends the majority of time by our side inside and outside. Every once and a while like during our meals etc., we put him outside on a lead by himself. You would think he's being tortured! He has plenty of shade, water, toys and it doesn't get that hot in Wi. It's not that we want him to be alone for hours at a time, but a couple hours disbursed thruout the day would be nice. We do not leave the house when he is outside and for our alone time I hate always putting him in his crate (which he does very well in). I've thought about an outside kennel or invisible fence. My wife thinks he would behave the same in a kennel. She feels invisible fencing would be a waste of money because he would tear up our back door trying to get in. Even when we're outside and he's on his lead if we are not within touching distance he barks and cries. Other than that he is prey driven, stubborn a lot of times and is just a very loveable guy. Suggestions?
