My GWP has just turned 15 and the vet is amazed she's still alive and still in such good shape. She is mostly blind, going deaf and a little arthritic. She needs help on stairs but still walks 1 1/2 - 2 miles a day.
So my question is How old can a GWP get to be? |

Thanks for the reply. I'm curious to know if anyone has stories about how old their dogs have gotten to be. Or maybe a breeder knows of any dogs of theirs that lived to great age.
Having a blind, 15 year old GWP who still thinks she's 2 is quite an experience! The goofiness never wears off. She's a retired hunter, by the way. |

| I owned Ch. Hilltop's Suzie Wong (a repeat breeding of the famous "Racket") and she lived to 16 years 8 months-more out of sheer obstinance than anything else. |
