Has anyone had a wire with juvenile cataracts or raised a blind puppy? Our 4 month old baby went blind over the last weekend and the vet thinks it is juvenile cataracts. After speaking with an opthamologist (no exam yet Sad though), the outlook is bleak as far as her being able to see again. When she is an adult she might be eligible for a $4000 surgery that would help. He said that it was most likely not inherited, especially as wires are not known for this problem. Something just went wrong.
I have had wires for about 22 years and love the breed - there is no other for me! I would just love to hear from anyone who has dealt with this or who has some helpful advice. Thanks! Very Happy
