Are GWPs similar to GSPs in that dogs from family lines that were bred primarily for showing tend to be larger than those bred for hunting? I am looking for a small GWP, similar in size to a small shorthair.

No, they are 2 different breeds. Although I know someone in my area who seems to cross them...
The GWP is not particularly a small dog. Why would you want a small one? just curious...
