Well, donations are coming in very slow this year. I'm a little concerned that I'm going to show up at the banquet like a complete idiot
I've sent out over 200 letters to manufacturers and suppliers, numerous phone calls and I have approx 5 donations from companies. Individuals have donated everything from glasses to artwork. I have received approx 10 donations from the Fort Detroit Members.
Now, I'm forced to appeal to the lovers of the GWP.
Any donation, art work, dog supplies, horse supplies, etc..., would be appreciated.
Besides items that I end up buying, I'm going to donate three baskets containing my companies products. This will include Lubridern, benadryl, sudafed, listerine, foam viagra tablets, halls throat lozenges, triple antibiotic oinment, etc. Heck, I could even include horse wormer. Forty pound Daily feed supplement or syringe admistered.
Please help if you can
If you donate the money can specified to be used for rescue or for the local club to pay for nationals.

Maddog, have you tried the German consulates and the ambassy. If you explain to them your goal to celebrate a yet little known breed which is a German breed, they are likely to help. They may not be able to give you dog related items but they should be willing to give you a couple of bottles of german wines. Who knows, they may be able to get you some breed posters as well... I know the French ambassies and Consulates helps fro the French breeds...
Just an idea! |
