Our beloved 7 month old was just expereincing this same thing. She was limping and not bearing any weight on her leg and we also took her to the vet. I cannot remember what he called it bbut essetially it was an infection. We gave her 2 weeks of antibiotics and she seems to be doing okay now. We still notice her favoring her leg but vet said she checks out fine now. We opted to have our fixed a week ago. I do not know if this is genetic but we never wanted to have puppies because we are in the military and they have strict rules about how many pets you can have on base at one time.
