| How common is entropion eyelids in our breed? I am making an appointment today to correct both eyes on a 7 month old GWP. I also had to have an eye corrected on Dolly when she was the same age. |

Personally I've never seen it in a Wire, can't think of ever hearing anyone else having it either.
Bummer.....

Tony,
I had two..one in a litter in the 1970's and one in a litter in the 1990's.
Be glad to share the pedigrees, if you think it would help. |

| Thanks for the info, Jon. Since I won't be breeding either of these dogs, and I don't plan on buying anymore in the future, I really don't need the pedigrees. I just wanted to throw this info out there because I thought it was strange that I bought two dogs with entropion eyes in the last two years. |

I think the odds of that are off the chart...unless you're talking the same bloodlines. Tough to spot in pups...although many times the signs are there just not readily apparent. I think when you have any breed where the best performance lines are constantly being bred back on each other, you can see more anomalies come out.
I think at heart you were always a Pointer man anyway |
