Any ideas on how to help my poor dog with what I think is dry skin. He seems really itchy, could be the lack of moisture in the house. Is this common, the dry skin.

Hi,

This time of year - they do tend to get dry skin - two of my three wires suffer from it - I give thim a tablespoon of olive oil on their food - works great.

When I attended a Dr. Jean Dodds seminar a couple of years ago she recommended Murphy's Oil Soap (this is a soap you'd find in the household cleaning products section in a grocery store). Put it on the dog before wetting the coat & let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse it out.

Our oldest dog has an autoimmunte disease (pemphagus) which makes her very itchy - this does seems to help.
