I am new to GWP and have a deposit on a pup from Co. I would like to hear about the foundation dogs I should hope to get in my new pup. I am buying a foot hunting gun dog for my pursuit of dove, quail, and wood ducks in the deep south. My order with the breeder is more ticking or white and a short to med. coat. I would love to get some personnal e mails on good breeders of HUNTING dogs. This is my first post but have read it several times. Keith, if you read this please e mail me we seem to be kindred souls in gun dogs. Thank you all for the help I am sure to get.

First, I'd like to say welcome to the small world of South Alabama GWPs - Greetings from Orange Beach, Al. We have a 2 1/2 year old male, born in North Dakota. We picked him up in February, and driving into AL, he was thrilled to be introduced to green grass! We couldn't be more pleased with his performance in the field, and as a pet. Every one else who has seen him hunt has commented that he was the strongest pointer and retriever they have ever seen. Kona is white and liver ticked, but his coat is too long. His coloring works very well where we are. He loves the water, though we haven't done much duck hunting with him. We are thoroughly enjoying our GWP and wish you the best.
I will email you and ask which breeder you have an order with.
Congrats and good luck.
