Hello I have a 8 year female spayed GWP who has been diagnosed with immune-mediated thrombocytopenia.

Does anyone else have experience with this?

No experience here, but I am curious about the cause and treatment. Is she out of American lines or DD?

Thrombocytopenia is a condition in that the platelets in the blood stream are decreased. Platelets are vital in clotting the blood. This decrease leads to bruising, nosebleeds or small pinpoint bleeding in the skin.
Acquired Thrombocytopenia occurs as a result of a disease process or an immune reaction, also tick borne illness and some cancers can cause it.
Primary treatment is to suppress the immune system ( High doses of steroids)
