owning and breeding b/w gwps come with some responsibilities.
from the VDD (the German breed club) breeding guidelines.....
Mating of a black (schwarzschimmel) DD to another black DD or to a solid brown DD (including those with white markings) is prohibited.
One should never breed b/w to another b/w! NEVER!
There are other questions you should be considering which are just as important (or possibly more important) than the color of the bitch.
Does the bitch hunt? What is the pedigree? Are there health clearances on her and on her sire and dam?
And then... how about your dog? I'm not saying your male may not be worthy of being bred, but the fact that you are looking for a b/w to breed him to tells us that you may want to do a bit more homework before you go there. _________________ visit my page to learn about German Wirehaired Pointers

This is the exact response i was looking for. Thank you... I obviously need to do more homework and i'm obviously not a breeder. My dog does very well and would like to have another with his genetics.

Finn.... why not go back to the breeder you got your dog from? They will be your best resource to finding another.
We all love our dogs, we all think they cannot be replaced. But 90% of them probably should never be bred, or don't need to be bred.
And if you do decide to breed them (male or female) be aware that there are a lot of responsibilities that come with that decision. What to do with puppies that aren't sold? What to do with puppies that end up with either physical or temperment problems? What to do with puppies that can't be kept by their owners and need to be placed?
I believe it's good to remember, you aren't breeding a single litter, you are contributing to a gene pool for the future...... _________________ visit my page to learn about German Wirehaired Pointers
