Wow, what a great response we have gotten for our 1st German Wirehaired Pointer University.

This will be held on Thursday at the host hotel in Lincoln. Subjects to be covered include DNA and gene mapping of the GWP, CERF (covers eye problems in the breed and how to prevent them through good breeding practices), Thyroid and the GWP, the latest information on Thyroid testing and medications.

In the afternoon there will be a educational program on anatomy and function in the GWP. There will be a power point presentation and hands on time with dogs to learn what layback means, where is a croup, what is a correct tailset etc. This is being given by Joy Brewster, a long time GWP breeder and judge.

Doug Ljungren, Director of Performance for AKC and a 30 year breeder of National Champion and Dual Champion GWP's will speak to us all about field work and the GWP. If you want to learn what a field trial is, and isn't. what new rules are coming for hunting tests, how to interpret performance etc., this is a great one for you to attend.

All of our presenters have put in a lot of time to get these lectures and presentations together for you. Total cost for the entire day is $35. This will include workbooks and educational material for you to take with you.
