I just recieved my new GWP at 10 weeks. He sight points and
retrieves very well. I did a great job training my last GWP. I
would like to do a better job on this one. I'm just looking to
get opinions and ages for the different stages of training. I
trained my first one almost 14 years ago and need some
memory refreshening. Whoa, Come, sit, stay, any sugestions
woul be appreciated. GWPLVR |

i'm with ya. bought a few books in past week or two and find there's a variety of 'best ways' to train a new dog, from starting when they're 7 weeks to "let them play for the first year and then start"...
i think i have most of the key points down, and i've worked with my two brittanies in the past so i'm not a total newbie... still, looking to find age-relevant advice, too. |

| WHOA there, partner. You're way ahead of yourself. First order of business is to take the pup out for exposure. You have plenty of time for "training". Right now concentrate on developing a confident, sociable, inquisitive and self assured dog. |
