With my GWP aging I am starting the process of locating a kennel for my next GWP here is what I am looking for!

1- trainability (very natural point, retrieve, and back)
2- Drive (hell hath no furry like a wirehair)
3- Range!! (Maybe this should be number 1 I want a gwp that will let it all out and run big 300-400+ yards big consistently.)
4-great retrieving and tracking.

I hunt fowl and open country birds with my current GWP I want another one that will run a bit bigger than my current with out sacrificing all the other qualities she has.

Any Ides???

Who is the guy??

What type of range do the parents have (yds)

How many days a year do the dogs hunt wild birds??What birds do they hunt the most?

Are these VDD or GWP ( I personally don't care what they are as long as the hunt)

Do both parents hunt upland and waterfowl??

Look at Cascade or Flintlock. They hunt like hell and more natural ability than most.

Ron Wilson in Atl Ga has a repeat breeding almost due of Sureshots Backwoods Wilson (NFC/FC) to his Cookie. My Amos that won the Nat'l Derby is from the previous breeding, I worked probably 6 pups from the first breeding and it was awsome, loads of range and style on point. Wilsonwires is his site.
