Last night i bought a tritronics Sport 60 G2. It has a 1000 yrd range (just over a 1/2 mile). Will this be good for me while hunting in the field. I really can't see my dog running off that far especially while giving stimulation.
I was looking at the pro and field series but i just don't have the funds to spend that much money.
I typically will be hunting pheasants, grouse and quail on fairly flat terrain. |

I would think it would be plenty. Remember, you will not have the range in the woods as you do on flat terrain.

The Tri-Tronics sport models are great collars. I started out with a Sport model years ago and now I use G2 Flyway Special and G2 Pro 500 models. TT makes a great collar and I have been nothing but impressed with their customer service over the years.
Take Care,

| We have the Upland model that handles multiple receivers. Being able to control the beeper from the transmitter is a great feature. Our dogs have worn theirs with no problems in the water. I have nothing but great things to say about TriTronics stuff. |
