We must be in the same neck of the woods. We have two GWP's and a DD pup. Our DD pup had its first swim a couple weeks ago in the Mississippi River near Winona, MN.

I live north of Rochester a few miles. I was in Lake City for a highschool track meet and had to get the pup to the water.
I have 2 sons that graduated from UWL and got to know the LaCrescent area for duck hunting. We spend a few weekends in the fall at Petibone and hunt ducks around there.
This is my first Wire.
Have you heard of the SM-NAVHDA group? They train near Winona and North of LaCrosse. I plan to join in the near future.

My wife is from the Rochester area (Stewartville) and I have a good friend in Byron. Small world! I live in the Trempealeau, WI area.
That SM NAVHDA chapter is a real good group! I know a couple of the guys and they have a good thing going. My 5 year old GWP is NAVHDA registered dog and I might end up joining that group myself.
