I am hoping most of you are aware of pending legislation in CA which would mandate the spaying and neutering of ALL dogs by the age of 4 months old in CA.

The GWPCA is preparing a letter to send to the legislature stating our opposition to this bill.

You are absolutely correct; what is going on out there may end up in our backyard too. The California proposals are another attempt to control and restrict the property rights of responsible law abiding people and impose punitive actions on them. The non-responsible remain unaffected by any law or ordnance. I also find it hard to believe that they (legislators) believe that adopting this legislation would correct or even help their pet overpopulation. They have no reasonable solution to the problem, and remain out there on the fare left.
