If the dog is registered with the VDD it will have a six digit tattoo in it''s right ear. If you tell me the number I can look up the dog in the Breed Book, find the pedigree and see who the Breeder was.

If it does not have a tattoo in it's right ear then it is not registered with the VDD.

I'm not sure if he has a tattoo... is that a VDD thing? Could you please have someone from GWPCA contact me directly? I would be more than happy to give them all of the info for this dog and the whole story. He really could use a great home.

Did you forward that information on to the gwp rescue coordinators?

Also, I have to be honest, saying a dog is VDD of America registered would be pretty random to pull out of nowhere if she doesn't even know what that is. This dog was an owner relinquish, so I'm sure that information is correct.

Also, I saw that you breed DDs. What are the rules of the VDD about breeders taking dog back? Is it a requirement no matter what age the dog is?

yes the breeder was contacted, however he was placed about a week ago, and the family hadn't notified the rescue of the update.
