I have just finished reading the president's announcement of the results of the polling taken on the color issue. I am still in a quandry.
The alternative to the present standard would be "a combination of liver and white or solid liver ( rejecting black and white). " It goes on to say, however, that black and white dogs could "still be registered with AKC and participate in performance events such as agility, hunt test and field trials."
It would appear that no matter what is decided, in practical terms nothing would change. If the AKC will still register B/W dogs and they will still have full entry to all but show events, what is the purpose of this vote?
Either way it still seems to confirm the status quo.
As an outsider, am I missing something? |

| Jon: You are correct. Another vote was taken on whether or not B&W would be allowed and the vote was +10 for the not allow. But, that was not enough to change it according to the constitution. Hopefully someday, people will change their minds and learn more about genetics. Same ole, same ole. |

| I recently bought a b & w GWP.... His coat is unlike my previous one in that it is close and he does not have a beard yet. Hopefully he will grow one!!! This pup has shown me so much potential that I find myself wanting to do more than i should at his young age. |
