My husband and I have been very concerned about the protectiveness Jake displays to our home and to me in particular. Now I'm glad he is that way. While shopping at a mall this past weekend I took him with me. He was in the back seat. After getting into my car at the mall, I was seated and had my hand on the door to close it. This man came up grabbed the door so I couldn't close it and attempted to get in. I screamed and Jake came flying over the back seat. Needless to say the man took off running. Jake never bit or even snapped but made it very clear this guy wasn't getting in. I don't know what would have happened if Jake hadn't been there, but I have a good idea and it isn't pleasant.
