I don't really know if this is a health issue or not, but today Deacon had to be sown up on the side for the second time. both times he was running full speed and something caught him there, first time some metal wire and the second was a rottie...is this something that happens to other people's pups? it seems like with the amount of time we spend on the trail and how fast he runs its only a matter of time before it happens again.

Its happened to me more than a few times. I am now very careful where we go to run and work. Barb wire is the worst-had a few nice gashes. Clean it, EMT Gel and they heal fine.
DId you say Rottie-as in Rottweiler? now thats something you cant prepare for, really if yours is offleash too-Id be in the owners face pretty quick. Big stick, or pepper spray solves that problem.
