| Wondering what type (nstra, navhda, akc, etc) of hunt tests/trials some of you run? I will likely run some type of hunt test with my next gwp down the road. Is there one of these organizations that is preferred or has a better test or a test that is closest to real hunting? I'm not familiar with any of the pointing breed tests but I have run a few akc retriever tests. Cory |

| I run mine in NAVHDA natural ability tests and NSTRA. Neither one of these require a great amount of training and they do well at both. It is a fun to compete with wirehairs at NSTRA events and win with a breed that a lot of the competitors aren't familiar with. It extends my hunting season with my dogs by months. Not real hunting but still out in the field with my dogs hunting up birds. |

I do AKC and UKC hunt tests. I try and judge at least 2 or 3 AKC hunt tests a year. Keeps me busy in the off season. _________________ Proud Owner of 2 AKC Bench Champion Master Hunter |
