Hi to all GWP owners, trainers and bird hunters. I chose a GWP for my first gundog, and trained him myself throughout the spring and summer of 2004. We just returned from 2 weeks of Pheasant work in Montana, and i can't imagine how this trip could have been more successful. It's all down to this wonderful pup, Buster. I read all the stuff I could get my hands on--- got him at 8 weeks, socialized him, worked him on hundreds of coveys of Hungarian Partridges, early introduction to the gun, field obedience, the works. I just want to share this success with all you GWP people out there. Go to MSN groups home page, and search for msn.groups.germanwirehairedpointers/montana2004. I'm not much of a computer whiz so sorry i couldn't just give you a direct link----- but trust me the photos ARE in there and they're great!!!

Great Pictures and a fine looking pup. It looks like you had a great trip and all of your effort in selection and training paid off. Would care to share the pup's backgoung?

Welcome Dave - I would like to see your pics but wasn't able to find them on the web. I see that there are other pics posted on this board so I don't think there would be a problem.
