I was just wondering how the dogs defeated were counted?
According to my calculations, Sophie defeated 91 dogs in Open stakes and 23 dogs in Amateur stakes for a combined total of 123 dogs defeated. The Wire News has her listed with 90 Open dogs and I'm assuming 23 Amateur dogs for a combined total of 122 dogs defeated. Am I counting wrong? |

Tony
looks like whomever is doing the counting simply missed one dog in their calculations. Or you simply added one.
I've done that job, trying to read that teeny tiny print in the Awards, and keeping track of the number of dogs defeated. It made my head hurt!
Now of course, for my own dogs I always kept track, but when your trying to keep track of over 50 dogs......
Drop a note to whomever is keeping the numbers.... shouldn't be a big deal to change if you are correct.
And, big congrats on Sopies success this year!

Thanks, Bernee!
She is a long way from #1, so it really doesn't matter. I was just wondering if I was counting wrong, but I think I discovered where the error came from. Sophie took a 3rd place in an Open stake and 2nd place was withheld. Normally 3rd place with 9 starters would defeat 6 dogs, but with 2nd place being withheld she defeated 7 dogs. |

Tony, congratulations!
I see on your web site that you are a GSP breeder. Is Sophie a GWP? Are you branching out into GWP's?
I'm in western WI and I bring my two wirehairs down to Iowa as many days as I can. |

I'm hoping your last comment was a joke.
If not, I'll do the same for all of the Iowa people coming up to WI and MN to go fishing.
I'll be bringing more guys and their sons this year. See ya out there! |

Last year Minnesota threatened to limit the number of days that a non-resident could fish after North Dakota changed their non-resident hunting regs, but they never followed through with it. |
