I am currently living in Los Angeles, soon to be back on our Montana ranch. I am planning a cross country drive from Los Angeles to Rochester NY, March 18th till April 28th. I am very open to making side trips as I have no real time table, waiting for it to warm up in Montana.

Growing up we had 4-5 GWP. I elieve they are the best dogs in the world and my only choice. I know that they are energetic and can be a bit much. However, I am in love with the breed. I have been in an LA apartment for 5 years and need a dog. I am an avid hunter and we have plenty of room for training, right on the river, and running. I hope to train and hunt the dog myself.

I have never been involved in field trials or testing. I am not looking for the best lines or superior breeding. I am hoping for a reasonable temperment and a decent hunting dog. My hope is to see the dog in person as I would like to get to know the breeder and to avoid any bad dogs.

If anyone has any information I would greatly apprecite it. My real only constraint is time for this trip and not location I am fairly flexible. Again as I am not looking for a champion I would hope to find something reasonably priced. Anything over $1000 would be to much and something closer to $500 would be more in line. Although I would be open to see what was out there.
