I lost my German Shorthaired pointer of almost 12 years in December. Thought I might get a wirehair so as not to directly compare my new friend against my last. I am looking for a hunter/companion. Have been looking on the web, but without a lot of luck in finding anyone near the east Texas area. Distance is not a big thing for the right dog.

Help us out here,,, for you, just what is the right dog?
A bit of info on what you hunt, they type of dog you like/want.... there are a couple of litters about right now.. but need to know some basics.

In fact, for anyone posting a "looking for a puppy"... if you give that info it will easier for all of us to lend a hand.
