I dont own any GWPs, but owned GSPs and Drahthaars.
I think the Wire/DD tends to be more terrier in temperment at times..

Stubborn, harder, tougher and a little more challenging to train.

No longer than 2 centimeters is the standard for the breed in Germany but shorter is more desireable, providing its dense and offers full coverage.
