Discussion on membership

Breeder’s referral on website. August was deadline and many people missed this deadline and are not on this list.

Minutes of the last teleconference meeting accepted as published.

Website
Laura Reeves reported that the issues with bulletin board are being working on by Dan. There areissues with the rescue portion of the site. At this time you have to contact Dan to have the information put on the site.

Standards Committee
Mark very satisfied with progress being made. Word crisp changed, we will now use the word course.
Vote will be taken on each part not the entire committee.
Committee working hard to develop each part.
How do we get judges to follow the standard? Judges Education needs to work on the judges to make sure they follow and understand the standard.

Rescue Reports
Barb will be done end of December and will no longer do rescue. Mark is concerned about the path our rescue is taking and what can we do to improve and revamp our rescue program. Possibility of having Mary Murray take over Rescue by possibly offering our financial support and member support. Mary is 501 C3 which means that any donations are tax deductible. We will need to work with her and encourage her to take over the GWP Rescue.

Futurity
Aloysia Hard said that changes need to be made. She has been lenient, but is getting very frustrated. Leave normal litter nomination fee as is, but after 60 or 90 days make fee $60.00. Lori Rezzardi wants same standard for late nomination.

Motion made to have fees for show Futurity increased after 30 days by Barb from $20.00 to $60.00 2nd by Mike. If individual is late for renomination from $10.00 to $30.00 Motion made by Mark to increase this from $10.00 to $30.00 2nd by Mike. Motion carried. Therefore, if you are late for litter nomination cost will be $60.00 to nominate the litter; if you are late for renomination it will then cost you $30.00.

Versatility Award
Greg DuBois has some very good ideas. He will address the annual meeting. Greg wants the board to discuss or develop guidelines for this award. He also would like some direction from the Board on composition of committee.

John Prescott’s recommendation is to award a Show Champion and NAVHDA UT an award. Starting 2006 any dog that receives a Championship and a UT in that year will receive this award in 2007.
Mike made motion to implement this award. 2nd by Laura.

Top Brood Bitch and Top Stud dog of the year proposed by Sean and Bob Perry. Discussed by Board. Ft Det. GWPC already does this award, so possibly we could use their template. Laura and Barb to coordinate this.
