The following awards are presented to dogs that meet their respective requirements. Before a dog can earn an award all owners of the dog must be a member of the GWPCA. To become a member of the GWPCA complete the Application for Membership

  • Field - Puppy/Derby Dog
  • Top Jr. Handler
  • Obedience - Novice Dog

  • Agility - Novice Dog
  • Agility - Open
  • Agility - Excellent
  • Stud Dog*
  • Brood Bitch*
    

Dogs that Meet the Following requirements in 2010 will also receive an award:

  • Best In Show
  • High In Trial
  • Master Hunters
  • Field Trial Champions
  • Amateur Field Trial Champions
  • Dual Champions
  • Agility - MACH Title
  • Obedience - OTCH Title
  • Ch/NAVHDA UT
      

* This award is determined by the Dog and Dam's get that acquire the most titles during the previous year in multiple venues.

 Versatility Program

The GWPCA Versatility Title Awards are also presented at the awards banquet. This award is designed to recognize German Wirehaired Pointers and their owners that have distinguished themselves in AKC or NAVHDA, field events and AKC conformation and performance competitions.

These dogs possess the temperament, intelligence, hunting and working capabilities which represent essential characteristics of the breed. To attain any one of the three levels of recognition represents a commendable dedication by the owner/trainer/handler. The GWPCA wishes to recognize these achievements at our annual awards banquet.

So don't forget to submit your Versatility Title application. The deadline for 2010 is September 15th.
